Social Issues that Impact our Communities
Stand Together Resources– List of resources about racial justice from DVDs and books in the CCLS collection to articles and videos online. This is not an extensive list by far, but a start to see the world from different perspectives.
CHQ Victim Assistance Program– “Direct services are available to crime victims, witnesses, and/or their families in Chautauqua County through the Chautauqua County District Attorney Victim Assistance Center free of charge.”
CATT Victim Assistance Program– “Providing advocacy to victims of crime, Creating an aura of safety, Changing public attitudes regarding victims’ culpability, Building skills and self-esteem to ensure recovery.”
Libraries and Correctional Facilities- List of resources from online articles to organizations that support re-entry programs to support. This is not an extensive list, but a good start to understanding the role of community support to help those who are incarcerated and encourage successful re-entry after terms are served.
